Ellipse Communications, Inc. hosting infrastructure is supported by the latest technology standards with both Intel and AMD Processors supported by Intel® and Super Micro motherboards within commercial six to eight drive configured servers. Server configuration separates traditional web-based functionality from the demands of extensive database processing. Our Web servers are equipped with dual 2.4 - 3.6 GHZ minimum processors (dual core or hyper-threading configuration), with a minimum of 80 GB and a maximum of 500 GB of storage. Two dedicated Ipswich IMail® E-Mail servers with two dual core 2.8 GHZ processors, and minimum 180 GB of storage. Currently, our Microsoft SQL® database servers maintaining a minimum of dual 2.6 GHZ processors (dual core or quad core), and four 120 GB drives with a RAID 5 array with 360 GB of capacity or a 2x2 mirror configuration with 500 GB of capacity. Ellipse Communications, Inc. implements data drops every hour during business hours, with daily, weekly, full backups into an active replicated SQL server with monthly and semi-annual external archives via the external hard drive back up system. In the summer of 2007, we reinforced our Veritas Backup Exec® system to support 8 hot swap drive bays with 2 Terabytes of storage capacity. In November of 2005, Ellipse was approved by the international organization, ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers), to support BGP service for a fully redundant IP transfer over 3 redundant backbone Internet Service Providers. In August 2006, Ellipse again strengthened our network capabilities with the installation a new energy management system, along with the installation of a Raid 10 SAN for robust redundancy. In the fall of 2008, Ellipse Communications, Inc. will deploy our geographically separate data center, located in Chicago, for rapid failover protection in the event of a major disaster affecting the availability of the primary Dallas data center or the south central US data infrastructure.
