It was just a simple vision - to create the first free online website for apartment communities in Dallas.
The year was 1999, and Ellipse Communications, Inc. was born when a team of technical experts were recruited and successfully persuaded to buy in to the vision. They went to work, and by the end of that year APTPages.com, Ellipse's first product, was introduced to the property management industry. That was the inception year of what became national Internet Listing Services, and the local presence for aptpages.com was not enough. Thanks to a tech-savvy regional property director with a vision, dynamic interactive websites became our product instead.
Today, we are the largest multifamily provider of web based applications and custom websites in the country, currently with a staff of thirty-six and projected revenues over $4.2 in 2009. We have solidified our market position by becoming an aggregator of technology products and services through internal developments or external vendor networks delivering Internet and web-based commerce solutions in a cloud environment.
Our company generates revenue from its website hosting along with managed accounts of our dedicated product lines, including custom website design services; Apartment Toolbox® management; Relate 24/7SM - Automated Resident Communications; Net Mystery ShopperSM - site level evaluation; Compliance GuardSM - compliance tracking software for affordable housing in Texas; and Ellipse Service AdvisorSM - resident service tracking application; along with client specific, advanced web based product development and Internet operations support.
